Microsoft
Publisher vs. Other HTML Programs
1.
Microsoft
Publisher will allow you save in html BUT you are not able to open it back up
to make changes. Hello!
2. Publisher does not allow users to create a
web site without a template.
3. I like how Publisher allows users to create a
link that is your bookmarks.
4. Publisher does allow the user to put neat
graphics onto the page a bit easier.
5.
You are
able to use the buttons and text boxes like you do to other programs.
6. Some programs do not allow users to put
WordArt onto the web pages like Publisher does, are able in Microsoft Word
though but not FrontPage 2000.
7. The tabbing is hard especially when you are
trying to have a multiple tabbing list.
8. Publisher does allow the user to scan a
picture in directly to the web page that is under construction.
9. No special components like hit counter,
scrolling marquee, and banners.
10. You cannot easily make a link for another
site into a new window.
11. I could not find a way to do frames of any
sort.
12. Some other HTML programs will not allow the
user to rotate pictures to a degree like Publisher can. The other
programs can only allow the user to rotate 90-degree increments.
